Founder Story & Vision

My name is Stacey Gibson, and for more than 30 years I have served my community as a salon owner, stylist, and small business owner. Throughout my career, I have viewed beauty and wellness as more than a profession—it has been a ministry of caring for people during vulnerable and life-changing moments.

Two years ago, while seeking God’s direction for the next chapter of my life, I felt a clear calling to serve cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers in a deeper way. That calling led me to begin working inside the Peeples Cancer Institute in Dalton, Georgia, where I have spent the last two years helping individuals experiencing medical hair loss and the emotional effects of cancer treatment.

Through countless conversations, wig fittings, and moments of encouragement, I witnessed a significant unmet need. While patients often receive excellent medical care, many struggle with the emotional, physical, and psychological effects of treatment. Hair loss, skin changes, fatigue, loss of confidence, isolation, and caregiver burnout are realities faced by many individuals and families navigating cancer.

These experiences inspired the creation of Lavish.
